Questions to Ask your Wedding Photographer

Finding vendors for your wedding day can be a daunting task! More than likely this is your first time doing this kind of thing! I totally understand having a budget, and I really think there are great photographers in everyones’ budget.

  • Ask for Galleries. Get an idea how the full day looks before making your decision on a Tampa Wedding Photographer. It also gives you an idea what receptions will look like and those not ideal shooting conditions.
  • Find out who will actually be your photographer on your big day. Many of the companies you will see on the Knot and other websites subcontract out their photographers and videographers because they can do it cheaper that way. You may get lucky and get someone really experienced who just so happened to have your big day open, but more than likely you will have someone learning or inexperienced in wedding photography.
  • If you are picking an established venue, they will want your photo team to carry their own liability insurance. So this is really important in the vetting process.
If you love Sabrina’s portfolio, then you have just found your photographer. My fiancé and I booked Sabrina for an engagement session in St. Pete, FL as we were vacationing there from Canada. This was our first photoshoot ever as a couple so we were nervous about how we’d look in photos with no experience posing together. Sabrina is a masterful photographer. We are BEYOND blown away by all of the photos she delivered. We can’t believe they are photos of us and we now have a beautiful gallery that we will cherish for a lifetime. About Us

I am Sabrina, and together with my fiancé Ryan, we are Sabrina Autumn Photography. We have been a Tampa Wedding Photographer duo for 8 years! We are engaged too, so totally understand the ins-and-outs of the Post-Covid wedding industry. We are total animal people. We have two standard poodles and an orange tabby named Jax. One question we get a lot is should we include our pups/pets in engagement and/or wedding photos. My answer is and will forever be an emphatic YES!

I have lived in Saint Petersburg, Florida my whole life. I did all my schooling here, met my now fiancé in downtown Saint Petersburg, and we had our little one Marlo at the Baby Place at Bayfront (which if you are pregnant, I highly recommend!) and she now attends Sawgrass Elementary. My primary focus is as a Saint Petersburg and Tampa wedding Photographer, but that isn’t all. I am a family, maternity, boudoir photographer; and I absolutely love Saint Petersburg engagement sessions because who doesn’t love epic beaches and parks for their photos and meeting amazing new people?! And if you aren’t interested in being outside, swing by my studio and let’s make some magic happen.

The thing about being a Tampa wedding photographer, every wedding is different and we relish the uniqueness that is YOU and your love! Pricing is important! I understand that and I understand budgets too! Our wedding packages always include an engagement session and over 1000+ edited photos. Pricing for all-day weddings starts at $4,000. Oh, and if we are out of range don’t let that stop you from reaching out. We may be able to work with you, set up a pay plan arrangement, or help find you someone amazing!

FAQS-

We are located primarily in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Our focus is as Saint Petersburg and Tampa Wedding Photographers. We travel through all of Florida, and most states do not have travel fees. We have an interesting situation too, because Ryan’s family is all based in the Bay Area of San Francisco, California. Our work allows us to travel a lot. And we often stay in California a few months a year.

I always ask: beach, city, or park. Tampa and Saint Petersburg are full of amazing locations. From  Ft desoto in Saint Petersburg, to downtown Saint Petersburg vibes, or traveling to near Orlando and Bok Tower, Saint Augustine, or even Key West.

With Covid, we have been booking out through 2024-25.

We try to make working with us as easy as possible. Standard payment plans would be a $1000 retainer, and then the rest due two weeks before your wedding. We also have 4,6, and 8 pay options available as well!

We travel all over! This last year we have been to New York, California, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Mexico, and Jamaica. Travel fees may apply, message us for more info!

Why We Became Saint Petersburg/ Tampa Wedding Photographers

Often called the “Sunshine State”, there is a reason why many call Florida home, the gulf coast especially. We have pristine beaches, awesome breweries, distilleries, and coffee shops (Grand Central Brewhouse, Urban Stillhouse, and Foxtail Coffee). Food is another great reason to come to Saint Petersburg and Tampa. But I could go on and on. That is why we live here, not why we love Tampa weddings and being Saint Petersburg/Tampa wedding photographers.

I started my Saint Petersburg and Tampa Wedding Photographer journey when I was gifted my first camera almost a decade ago. A Sony A6000 mirrorless. I always had a love for photography, but having a nice camera changed everything. I wanted to learn everything and how to do it. I practiced everyday, took photos of everything. I then had friends asking for me to take photos for them. Such a weird feeling. But it grew, and I started doing maternity, then small elopements, then little weddings. Weddings, to me, are this crazy mix of emotions. People are nervous, yet it is the greatest moment in their lives. I get to see these amazingly beautiful moments, like first looks with their dads and first dances. Being a Tampa Wedding Photographer, I get to be behind the scenes, help with bustling and nerves, and meet amazing people and take amazing photos. What’s not to love!
