Sandals Ochi Jamaica Destination Photo and Video
Let me just start with how awesome both Sadie and Brandon are as people, as well as their entire wedding party. These two were so relaxed the entire time, maybe it was because they were leaving the frozen tundra of Wisconsin for the warm sandy beaches of Jamaica for their own destination wedding. But they were so relaxed, and had so much fun. They literally asked us if we had fun at their wedding, over and over!
We got to spend a few days with them, and their family and close friends. This felt much more like a vacation than a work trip, and we will forever be friends with them. We are even planning a trip to go up for a visit when it isn’t snowing anymore in Wisconsin.
To the day, they decided on Sandals Ochi because Sadie wanted something tropical. Brandon came up with Jamaica, and we all are thankful they made the decision they did. The hospitality at the resort was unbelievable, the culture, the people, the food, everything was so good! For a destination wedding, Jamaica checks all the boxes. The Getting Ready happened at the bride’s room, overlooking the ocean and swimming area of Ochi. The ceremony was in a small courtyard area with a pergola, also overlooking crystal clear water. The ceremony had laughs, tears, and was a lot of fun, but nothing compared to the reception. The father of the bride started the dancing off, in the sand with the Ochi Jamaica in the background. These guys like to have fun, with great drinks and food. They danced the night away, and you could tell everyone there was family, even if they weren’t blood.
The beginning of the video shows the wedding party dining at the Hibachi restaurant on the Sandals resort. We found out about this ahead of time, so that we could get some shots of them just enjoying themselves and relaxing. If you are looking into a destination wedding for yourself, or someone else, Jamaica definitely needs to be on your list, and Sandals Ochi should be near the top!
