So, to say I was excited about this wedding was an understatement. After their engagement photoshoot (View their engagement shoot), getting to know them and taking their photos with their awesome couch and vintage Jeep, I was ready for the wedding to be the next day! Then we had a postponement and had to switch venues…
But the venue the bride and groom decided on- Wow! So Dunedin is a small little town about twenty minutes north of Saint Petersburg, Dunedin is known for good food, breweries, and a beautiful little downtown right by the Bay. On the edge of Downtown Dunedin, right on the water, is the Fenway Hotel. The Grand Lady of Dunedin, or the Fenway Hotel, was built in 1924 and served as a venue for music, a hotel, and the county’s first radio station. The Fenway Hotel is beautiful. There is amazing history in this hotel, from Prohibition memorabilia to the nostalgic photography and original accents spread throughout the Fenway Hotel.
But I was more excited to be around this couple again, and finally meet all of their family. I was definitely not disappointed. They have fun, they make jokes, laugh. Oh, and they dance. They ALL dance! I was able to witness a dance-off between the groom and one of his groomsmen, the entire wedding party rarely leaving the dance floor, and of course stories about dancing to Michael Jackson.
The most emotional parts of the day included the walk down the aisle of the bride where her mom gave her away and the first dances that made everyone teary-eyed. The first dances were dedicated to the bride’s father and step-father who had both passed away. You could tell they were able to be there by being in everyones thoughts all day.
The day was perfect, both for the winter-time Florida weather (being around 65-70), the couple and their loved ones who are absolutely amazing, and the beautiful Fenway Hotel in Dunedin, Florida.
